How Fusion %%transformed cybersecurity%% with targeted phishing campaigns
%%Minimal%% to managed

With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Fusion has redefined “event management”. They specialise in full-scale event production, taking expert care of everything from brainstorming ideas and planning, to event management and delivery. From once-in-a-lifetime test drives to high-stakes product launches, Fusion is the agency leading the way in experiential automotive marketing and events.
Roger Willoughby, the Data Protection and Compliance Manager for Fusion 2K, said that before Phishing Tackle, their cybersecurity approach was pretty basic. And with their inboxes filling up with critical event details and sensitive data, they needed to tighten up on cybersecurity to fend off advanced phishing tactics and keep their company (and their clients) safe.
They needed Phishing Tackle training.
Before training, Fusion staff found it much harder to tell the difference between a genuine email and a cyber attack. With Phishing Tackle’s campaigns, convincing scam simulations would land in staff inboxes when they least expected (just like the real ones do). This way, they got hands-on training to spot scams without the messy cleanup after clicking on a real dodgy link.
Roger says that the little bit of time it takes to set up the phishing campaigns is more than worth it for the peace of mind it gives him and the whole IT team. He can schedule a new campaign in just a few clicks and even stagger the phishing emails over a couple of weeks, so the staff don’t catch on.
As the campaigns have rolled out, Roger has made them a little more difficult each time, and he’s found them to be brilliant at not only helping staff see what a scam email looks like, but also what to do when they spot one.

How Phishing Tackle’s training %%helped Fusion%% steer clear of scammers

Levels of difficulty
Roger says that the “staggering the range of templates is amazing,” allowing him to tailor simulations to match their normal business activity as closely as possible. Plus, each phishing campaign can be made trickier than the last. This keeps the team on their toes by mimicking real emails they could get that might catch them out.

User-friendly
Roger loves the dashboard and how easy and intuitive it is to use. He can quickly pull up campaign details to show senior management how things are going. And while he wouldn’t “throw anyone under the bus” as far as who’s clicked on what, it gives him an insight into how the team is handling the training.

Increased staff awareness
Staff have made major progress when it comes to telling legit emails apart from scams. Even as the campaigns have gotten harder, they’re still quick to see what’s real and what’s not.

Ongoing support
The Fusion team have found Phishing Tackle’s support to be second to none. Roger says it best: “You get top-level support. They’ve been amazing. Our account manager has been really helpful with setting everything up, and it all runs pretty easily now.”
